Ahead of this year’s Salone del Mobile, Versace announces that it will be unveiling its 2019 home collection at the Milan furniture show. A limited number of tickets will be issued to the public each day during the week, allowing a select few to attend the exhibition at the Versace villa from April 10 to April 14.
Versace will be showing multiple collaborations from its 2019 home collection at Salone, including projects with artist Andy Dixon and interior designer Sasha Bikoff.
“I have always been drawn to Gianni and Donatella’s work, especially the imagery used in patterns,” says Dixon, while Bikoff adds, “Versace lives through color and pattern breaking rules and promoting a sense of confidence and glamour which is how I decorate.”
Versace’s 2019 home collection includes houseware, as well as outdoor items for the first time ever. Five different furniture capsules are to be unveiled, including Pop Medusa, Medusa, Jungle, Rhapsody and Logomania, each influenced by mythology and pop culture.
The Medusa range takes cues from the hair and features of Medusa, while the Jungle collection features Versace’s inaugural outdoor offerings, alongside the Pop Medusa assortment. The Jungle category consists of a hanging bed, sun bed, lanterns and a fire pit table, and the Pop Medusa includes weather-resistant chairs and a glass cube that serves as a side table or a stool.
Versace’s Rhapsody line then showcases captivating Baroque prints, most eye-catching on a technicolor jacquard sofa. Lastly, Logomania finds ’90s-inspired logos and geometric patterns taking over leather sofas and various chairs.
Again, Versace will be showing its 2019 home collection at a special exhibition at the Versace villa in Milan from April 10 to April 14. Tickets will be limited.
